The Center for User Experience offers user experience services to help UW–Madison schools, colleges, departments, and units create digital experiences that are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with institutional goals.

Getting started
UX services on campus:
Heuristic evaluation: A type of design review in which a website or app’s design is evaluated for compliance against a set of guidelines, notably Nielsen Norman Group’s 10 Usability Heuristics.
Design research: Using proven research methods to identify pain points and what your users need.
Design strategy: Helping departments improve the usability and effectiveness of their digital offerings through tailored UX design strategies.

Pricing
We bill at an hourly rate of $85/hour for UW–Madison partners. Contact us for rates if you are not affiliated with the university.
Initial 1-hour consultation is free. After that, we provide cost and time estimates before starting work.
