Web conferencing (Zoom)

Zoom is an enterprise cloud platform for video, voice, online meetings, screen sharing, chat and webinars. This enterprise web conferencing and distance learning application runs across mobile devices, desktops, telephones and room systems and includes access to the Zoom AI Companion.

Storage (Object/S3)

DoIT is offering on-premise object storage utilizing the S3 protocol. S3 is an industry standard object storage service that offers industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance.

Server administration

Provides applications and systems architecture, design, engineering, and administration services to campus constituents with enterprise requirements.
In addition to technical expertise, enterprise system administration provides on-call support, monitoring and event management, 24/7 operations, incident response, and comprehensive IT service management.

Event management and monitoring – IT

Event Management and Monitoring service is responsible for the elevation of select monitored IT detected events into the Service Management system, WiscIT, from any event detector source.

Duo multi-factor authentication (MFA)

The Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) service provides secure access to all UW–‍Madison applications. Paired with the NetID login service, Duo MFA adds an extra layer of identity protection onto the NetID login.

Departmental tech support

Provides flexible, reliable, cost-effective, high-quality enterprise technology support. Assists with technical support and provides management and security of end-user devices, applications, and related technology.

Repair

The DoIT Help Desk offers free software services such as virus detection and removal and operating system re-installs. In addition, if you have a departmentally owned Apple or Dell computer that is in need of a hardware repair, we can facilitate a repair to one of our contract repair service vendors who are Dell and Apple warranty certified.

Center for High Throughput Computing

CHTC supports a variety of scalable computing capabilities, including high-throughput computing (HTC), tightly-coupled computations (e.g. “MPI”), high-memory, and GPUs.

Custom audiovisual conference room

DoIT designs and builds hybrid conference room solutions that provide an intuitive and consistent audiovisual experience for Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams meetings from the same touch screen controller. Systems can be scaled to meet the size and requirements of the room while retaining ease of use.
